07/08/2007: "Kreycik's Elk & Buffalo Ranch"

CROFTON- the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center will be hosts for their Featured Member Kreycik Riverview Elk & Buffalo Ranch, Tuesday July 17th through Monday July 23rd. The Kreycik family farm/ranch is near Niobrara, Nebraska.

Located on the Lewis & Clark Trail, and just off the scenic Byway #12, known as the Outlaw Trail you will discover a family operation very different than most. The Kreyciks have operated a cattle farm/ranch for nearly 40 years and 26 years ago added elk and bison.
They offer tours in covered wagons where you will see the mighty bison grazing in the hills overlooking the Niobrara River. The hour tour will give adults and youth alike an opportunity to meet Boomer, the longhorn steer who thinks he’s a buffalo. A camera is a must on the tours where bugling elk, fallow deer and huge buffalo greet each wagon load of guest.

Their unique gift shop features elk and bison meat and hides as well as Elk Velvet Antler Capsules. They offer many Lewis & Clark items along with Nebraska made products.

Also available at the ranch is the KSK Elk & Buffalo Hunting Acres. This too is a family owned operation with hunting acres headquartered at the Kreycik Riverview Ranch. The hunting area consists of densely covered hills and canyons nestled between the Missouri & Niobrara river valleys seven miles from the South Dakota border.

Special items and products will be featured throughout the week at the center with the opportunity to sign up for a FREE TOUR AT KREYCIK RIVERVIEW ELK & BUFFALO RANCH.
